We previously had Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as our pick from this series. So what happened? Over time it’s become clear that Borderlands 2 is the king of this series, with perhaps the perfect blend of shooting and looting. That’s probably why it has 12,000 concurrent players a month compared to the Pre-Sequel’s 1,100 players. The Borderlands series is known for its winning formula of mixing FPS gameplay with RPG mechanics, and Borderlands 2 just got it all right. Here, you will kill and loot, and gain experience points and skills. Enough features to keep you busy in the enormous world that is entirely at your disposal. The game also supports up to 4-players co-op, and needless to say, the experience is much more fun with friends. One more thing Borderlands 2 is also beautiful, with a graphic novel style that ages well. Luckily, did such a terrific job with the game’s Mac version that most will be able to experience it, including gamers with older MacBook Pros. Borderlands 2 benchmark results (in FPS). Testing Conditions: We tested the game using Medium settings, 2X Anisotropic Filtering, FXAA, and 1280×800 resolution: Can your Mac run it? Taking into account that even our 2013 13-inch MacBook Pro handled the game just fine, most Macs from 2013 onwards should be able to handle it. Any bugs you should be aware of? The game sometimes crashes on the start menu. To avoid that problem, just launch a game as soon as you enter the open menu. Verdict: Not Demanding System Requirements: OS 10.8.5, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 4 GB RAM, 256 MB ATI Radeon HD 2600 / NVidia Geforce 8800/ Intel HD 3000 or better, 13 GB hard drive space. The latest entry in this venerable franchise replaces the previous installment, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which easily earned a place on the list thanks to its innovative approach that allows you to play the way you want. You like stealth, play stealthy, you like frontal assaults, you can do that too. In Deus Ex, you can use the RPG-like system of augmentations to gradually evolve your character to suit your playing style. While had to delay it while waiting for Metal 2, once it arrived it easily took its place as one of the best and most innovative shooters on the platform. ![]() With a deep story continuing from the last (and previous) installments, beautiful graphics and replayability thanks to the augmentation system, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was worth the wait. One more thing The main thing holding it back from the first place is the hefty system requirements; all that beauty comes at a cost and our results from our test machines make it clear you’ll need a fairly recent machine for a satisfying gaming experience. Mankind Divided benchmark results (in FPS). Testing Conditions: We tested the game using the Medium Preset, 2X Anisotropic Filtering, V-Sync Off, and 1280×800 resolution: Can your Mac run it? As you can see from these results, this is one tough game to run. It looks great but you’ll need a high-end machine to enjoy it. Make sure your Mac meets the very strict system requirements before purchasing it. Any bugs you should be aware of? If your Mac can handle it, you should encounter a bug-free experience. Verdict: Very Demanding System Requirements: OS 10.13.1, 3 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 8 GB RAM, 2GBAMD R9 M290 or better, 67 GB hard drive space. Has more than its share of games on this list, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is probably the best. I’ll forgive you if you don’t recognize the title, as you mostly see it as CS: GO because people don’t want to waste time typing it, they just want to get into the action. CS: GO is an online tactical first-person shooter and features classic content from the original Counter-Strike, such as revamped versions of classic maps, as well as brand new maps, characters, and game modes. The game offers the most competitive online Multiplayer out there, including professionals playing on the eSports circuit. CS:GO features cross-platform Multiplayer between Windows and macOS, and if you’re worried that after six years players might have moved on to something newer, fear not. CS: GO is the second most played title on Steam after (I know, I know).

It offers you so many benefits that it is hard to imagine now that once upon the time we lived in ‘physical only’ world. But beware – virtualization has certain shortcomings too. One of them is having no access to USB ports, i.e. In Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware USB passthrough is not possible. This means you cannot use contents of a USB dongle attached to a host computer on virtual servers, and arises a questions how to connect USB to VMware virtual machine? Vmware The Connection For The Usb Device Was Unsuccessful Driver Error; Vmware Usb Device Not Showing Up; But pre-configured devices such as mouse, keyboard, that's what you have use the latest Nvidia drivers. For more information, see Collecting Top Log in to post comments Alex A. Can actually get stuff done in 7. There are two main ways of going about this issue: • Using third party software solutions that pass data of USB in VMware and other virtual environments • Utilizing integrated methods of adding USB devices into virtual machines Software to access USB in virtual machine. With the help of you get access to USB ports that are physically connected to the main (host) operating system of the computer where virtual OS is installed or any other remote computer no matter where it is actually located. USB Network Gate also enables you to pass data of remote USB device in virtual machine. To create a virtual connection with the help of USB Network Gate do as follows: • Install on the host and virtual machines; • Share a USB device over network; • Setup connection to USB device for a virtual machine. The device is displayed in Device manager of your virtual machine and your OS sees it as it were directly inserted into your machine. One of the biggest advantages USB Network Gate offers is multiple OS support – Windows, Linux, Mac. Connect USB device to a virtual machine If you plug in a device into the host computer when a virtual machine is running and its window is active, the device automatically gets connected to the guest system instead of the host. You can disable the autoconnect feature in the USB Controller panel accessible via Virtual Machine Settings Editor. If a USB device is attached when all the USB ports of the virtual machine are already occupied, a dialog box will be displayed. It will give you options either to disconnect one of the already connected devices so you can free up a port for a newly inserted device or ignore a new device. If you choose the latter, the device will be connected to the host. If you would like to specify what USB devices are to be connected to a virtual machine, go to VM > Removable Devices. The max number of USB devices you can connect at a time is two. If a hub is used for connecting devices to the host, you will not see the hub, only the virtual devices. Each of the USB ports has a menu item, hover over them to display a cascading menu of devices plugged into your host computer and available for use on your virtual machine. Clicking the name of a device will connect it to the virtual machine. If a device is already connected to that port, click the name of a newly attached device to release the first device and connect the new one. To release a device, find a port to which it is connected and choose None in its cascading menu. If a device is connected to the host machine, e.g. You plugged it into the computer while the autoconnect feature was disabled, you can connect it to the virtual machine manually via VM > Removable Devices menu. How to mount USB drive to Hyper-V To connect a USB drive to a virtual machine install it as virtual hard disk in Hyper-V virtual environment. You can do it if you know the size of the drive, to find it out on your host machine click Computer, find your removable disk, right-click to display the context menu and go to Properties. General tab will have information on the size of your hard drive in Bytes and GB. How to install a USB drive as a virtual hard drive: • Right-click on your Hyper-V server, choose New > Hard Disk, or do the same from Actions menu; follow the instructions. • When prompted enter a name for your drive, click Next. • Choose ‘Copy the content of the specified physical disk’ and enter the details to identify the disk. Copying the content of the removable storage and creating the USB.vhd file might take a while, it depends on its size. The amount of free space does not matter, a vhd file is created with the entire size of the removable storage. • Choose Settings on your virtual machine, select SCSI Controller – see the left pane; select Hard drive – see the right pane, click Add. • Click Browse and choose to open the vhd file to which you mounted your removable storage. Your removable storage should be displayed as a drive. Jul 23, 2013 Authoring Tools. Build, push and run Docker images with Visual Studio Team Services 19 Aug 2016 in| Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) is a great tool to handle your build and release pipelines, even for non Windows applications. In this post I will detail how you can use the Docker extension for VSTS to build, push and run Docker images on Linux. Get the Docker task As you maybe already know, Visual Studio Team Services comes with a Marketplace where you can find some tasks and extensions for your build and release definitions. The Docker task is available. Adding an extension to VSTS is really easy as you just have to click on the Install button: Note: this extension is also available for Team Foundation Server, so you can download it and install it on your on premise server, if needed. If you are not already logged in you will be asked for your credentials. Once authenticated, you have to choose the VSTS account where you want to install the extension: Click on the Confirm button, and you are done! Now, if you create a new Build definition you should see two new extensions available, Docker and Docker Compose: To use the extension, you need to configure two external services in VSTS: • A Docker host that will be used to build, push, run the images • A Docker Hub/Registry connection to store the image You also need a build agent that has the Docker command line installed. For this article I have used the same Linux box for both the Docker host and VSTS agent and I have used the public Docker Hub to store the images. Create and configure a Linux build agent Visual Studio Team Services supports hosted agents (provided by Microsoft and running Windows) and custom agents that can run Windows, Linux or Mac OS. Any machine you own, physical or virtual, can be a VSTS agent. I choose to create an Ubuntu machine in Microsoft Azure using the docker-machine command line. This tool is really easy to use and it allows to have a Docker host up and running in a few minutes! All you need to do to get your Docker host up and running in Azure is described. Once done, you can SSH on the machine using the command. ./config.sh Follow the different configuration step, enter your VSTS account, the PAT you have just created etc and then run the run.sh script to start the agent. Note: if you are running Ubuntu 16.04, the agent can also be ran as a service. The documentation is available on this. Go in the agent queues settings of your team project and check that your agent is available: Your build agent is ready! Use the Docker extension in VSTS I am working on a multi-containers application and I am using the Docker extension to build and push 4 images from a code source repository that contains one Dockerfile for each image. First, I have created a new build definition (started from an empty one), connected the build definition to my source code repository and configured it to be triggered each time a commit is done. Then, I had added 8 Docker tasks to the build definition (I need to build and push each image): As you can see on the right side of each task occurrence you need to provide a Docker Host Connection (the machine that will build, push, or run the image) and a Docker Registry Connection (a Trusted Registry or Docker Hub account). Click on the Manage link to go to the Services management. ![]() In this section you can add the information to connect you Docker Host and your Docker Hub account: For the Docker Host, you need to give a name, the URL of the host and the certificates information to connect to the Docker daemon (those certificates have been generated by docker-machine in your home folder): The Docker Registry requires your Trusted Registry / Docker Hub account information (and the URL of your trusted registry if you are not using the public hub): Once configured, go back to the build definition and configure the host / registry on the task. The other options that you need to provide is the path of the Dockerfile, the Docker action you want to execute (build, push, run) and the context to pass to the Docker daemon. Here is an example of the Docker task configuration to build an image: And an example of the Docker task configured to push the image that has been built in the previous step: As you can see, I have used the VSTS build number variable to tag the image. The build is configured, and can be triggered on the agent queue that contains the custom agent: Once the build is done, the four images are available in the Docker Hub: Running an image is super easy with the Docker task, you just have to tell the image you want to run: Note: you can also add additional parameters that will be passed to the docker run command, like the name of the container, the port mapping configuration, environment variables and command arguments. Home inventory app for mac. Sling player app osx. On my home Slingbox Pro HD, which is attached to a DVR running in the widescreen 16-by-9 aspect ratio, I could never get SlingPlayer to fill my iPhone’s screen. Old-style 4-by-3 content was even worse, appearing like a postage stamp on my screen, surrounded by empty space. Widescreen content was letterboxed, but also had a slight pillarbox effect. (Of course, picture quality will vary depending on the speed of both your Wi-Fi network and your Slingbox’s connection to the Internet.) Unfortunately, there was no way for us to display this picture from a Slingbox HD without the black border.I’m disappointed that SlingPlayer didn’t honor one of the most basic iPhone gestures, though: the double-tap on video that toggles between a zoomed picture and a letterboxed or pillarboxed picture. In the end, I’m glad that SlingPlayer for iPhone exists. The latest surprise release of is largely what you'd hope to get in an Outlook refresh: At long last, a version that looks and works almost identically to the Windows version. This is great news if you live exclusively in an Exchange environment, but you may want to mute your celebration if you also deal with other calendars and contact lists created elsewhere. Outlook and the Mac have a long and ugly history. For many years, there were, at best, rudimentary and semi-functional Mac versions of Outlook, which created a self-fulfilling cycle that the Mac was not ready for or worthy of use in the enterprise. Various versions of Outlook Express and something called Entourage performed some or most of Outlook's functions through the early 2000's. ![]() [ Further reading: ] But those substitutes had no actual code from the baseline Microsoft Office suite, of which Outlook is a part, and the user interface was different enough from Outlook to create problems for support and IT departments. It didn't help that Entourage never quite reached parity with Outlook as an Exchange client. It wasn't until late 2010, with the release of Office Mac 2011 (the most recent version to date) that Entourage was buried and a full version of Outlook for Mac was released. But even then, the user experience was different from -- and less capable than -- the Windows version. In fact, it was dissimilar enough that moving from one platform to another was frustrating. Last month, screenshots started to leak out of Outlook for Mac 15.3, part of an anticipated new version of Office slated for next year. Surprisingly, Microsoft released a no-extra-charge Mac version shortly thereafter through its. Parity with Windows -- sort of The big news is that, at long last, Outlook for Mac has more or less reached parity with Outlook for Windows. Rather than worrying about making things 'Mac-like,' Microsoft's designers have become confident enough to build out their own design language across platforms. The interface is cleaned up and icons are simplified. Outlook for Mac looks and works like the same Outlook you'll see anywhere. The Ribbon interface is cleaned up in Outlook 15.3 and mirrors the Windows version. Unread messages are clearly denoted by a blue bar to the left of the message abstract -- much easier to see than the bolding that marked unread messages in the previous version. [ ] Dan Rosenbaum The toolbar and ribbon for Outlook 2011 (top) featured textured and shadowed icons that attempted to be “Mac-like” but became dated with frequent OS updates. Outlook 11.5’s ribbon (bottom) relies on Microsoft’s own design language. The icons are cleaner and the lettering smaller, reflecting Office’s interface across all platforms. Links to the various pieces of Outlook -- mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes -- have been moved from the left column under the mailboxes to the bottom margin of the window.
